Yes — Lucy Luna jewellery is water-resistant and made for everyday wear. However, to preserve its glow, we recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to chlorine, salt water, soaps and harsh cleaning chemicals, as these can gradually affect the gold finish over time.
For best care, remove your jewellery before swimming, cleaning or using chemical-based products.
Will it tarnish or turn my skin green?
Our jewellery is crafted in gold vermeil over stainless steel or brass. With time, wear and love, the gold layer may gradually soften or wear to reveal the silver beneath — a natural evolution of gold vermeil rather than a fault.
Stainless steel may naturally develop some tarnish over time, particularly when exposed to moisture, skincare, perfumes or chemicals, but this can be gently cleaned and cared for.
Green discolouration is uncommon, although individual skin chemistry, moisture and product residue can sometimes cause temporary marks.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
